Hospital Affiliations
We are proud to admit our patients exclusively to Advocate BroMenn Hospital. If you are admitted to the hospital, Dr. Pilcher will personally see you every day during the week. After-hours and weekend care is shared with the physicians of the BroMenn Medical Group. Telephone calls received after the close of business will be directed to the physician on-call. If you prefer to be treated at OSF St. Joseph, a St. Joseph staff physician will need to see you.
Wellness Care
At Bloomington Primary Care, we give special attention to preventative wellness exams. We recommend yearly exams for all adults over age 30. During yearly exams, we assess an individual’s fitness and diet, give immunizations and conduct routine lab work, a complete physical, and EKGs. As needed, we arrange for a mammogram, a bone density scan, or colonoscopy procedure. See our Annual Exam outline for details.
Child Wellness
Dr. Pilcher sees newborns, toddlers, and children. Betty Scanlon sees children ages 5 and up for both preventative and acute care. During routine visits, we will monitor growth, development, immunizations, and offer anticipatory guidance. We will address any acute needs, during a routine or otherwise. Lead screening and iron anemia checks are done for children in high risk situations and also routinely at 9 months and 2 years. View our outline of vaccine and screening guidelines.
