Practitioners Stephen Pilcher MD, Adam Houghton MD, Dan Cunningham DO, Kim Bankston DNP, Betty Scanlon FNP, Debbie Wietfeldt DNP and Sue Keogh LCPC are proud to be your medical providers. Dr. Cunningham was born in Bloomington, Illinois. After medical school, he returned home with his wife, Rachel Brandt, who is also a Bloomington native. Dan enjoys traveling, gardening, cooking, being outdoors and especially spending time with his two dogs, Belle and Gus. His special interests include sports medicine, mental health, and preventive medicine. Dan is excited to have returned to his hometown and looks forward to collaborating with his patients to achieve their health and wellness goals.

Ms. Wietfeldt will be joining Bloomington Primary Care in August of 2017. She worked as an RN at Advocate BroMenn hospital in critical care from 2009-2010 and in dermatology from 2010-2016. She also volunteered as an RN at Immanuel Health Center in Bloomington, IL, where she started and maintains a Patient Advisory Council. She and her husband, Marty, an actuary at State Farm, are avid sports fans and reside in Bloomington with their daughter.

Ms. Bankston joined Bloomington Primary Care in April 2014, previously having worked as a Certified Nurse Practitioner in El Paso, IL at a Family Practice clinic from 2002 to 2014. She provides care for patients of all ages who need health maintenance exams, diagnosis and treatment of acute illness or injuries, and management of chronic health conditions. Kim met her husband Tony while attending Illinois Wesleyan University, calling Bloomington/Normal home. Though busy raising four daughters, Kim manages to squeeze in time for reading and physical activity, two things that she has always enjoyed.

Dr. Houghton is a native of Havana, Illinois. Adam and his wife, Marie, have been great friends with the Hills since medical school. You'll find Adam running the trails and frequenting local used book stores as he adds to his large collection of books. Adam enjoys family time with his wife and two daughters. His special interest areas include sports medicine, mental health, women’s health, and LGBTQ health.

Dr. Pilcher relocated from the Colorado Rockies with his wife, Sarah, a Bloomington native. He joined Sugar Creek Medical Associates in Normal, Illinois, from 2004-2010. He embraces life to the fullest as father of three.

Ms. Scanlon joined Bloomington Primary Care September 2010 as CNP. In collaboration with Dr. Pilcher, she is responsible for obtaining histories, performing physical exams, diagnosing illnesses and prescribing meds & treatments, and providing procedures such as pelvic exams, simple incision and drainage of cysts and other medical procedures. Betty enjoys spending time with her husband and three teenagers, hiking with her sisters, and plays a mean keyboard.

Sue and her husband, Kelly, a teacher at Normal Community High School, have resided in the Bloomington/Normal area for nearly 30 years. They have two young adult daughters. Sue enjoys spending time with friends and family. One of her favorite aspects of the community is the Constitution Trail, where she walks and bikes regularly.
